Kirkland Bass is a native of Momeyer, North Carolina. He graduated from Southern Nash Senior High
in 2000. He attended East Carolina
University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in

Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University, where he received his Juris
Doctor in 2009. Kirkland was licensed by the North Carolina State Bar in
August 2010 and joined The Valentine Law Firm in December 2010. His areas of practice are traffic, criminal,
juvenile, divorce and custody law, child support, special proceedings and
estates. Kirkland was the appointed the
Nash County Public Administrator in January 2015. Kirkland is a member of Momeyer Baptist Church. He and his wife, Denise, have been married
since September 2009, and have two children, Avery and Addison.
